Outdoor activities in the Angus Glens, Scotland

Scottish region of Angus

The Scottish region of Angus is located in an area of Eastern Scotland, between the two cities of Dundee and Aberdeen.

The region stretches from the eastern coast inland to the Scottish Highlands. Beautiful Angus takes in dramatic coastline, pretty coastal towns and villages, rolling farmland and the wonderful Angus Glens. The variety of landscape makes Angus an ideal destination for walkers of all abilities.

At the gateway to the Angus Glens is the pretty town of Kirriemuir, where Peter Pan creator J M Barrie was born. From here the glens, which take the form of a series of long, winding glens, including Glen Isla, Glen Clova, Glen Esk, Glen Prosen, Glen Lethnot and Glen Doll, head up towards the majestic Cairngorm Mountains.

Angus is a paradise for outdoor lovers and Glentrek and other outdoor businesses have combined to form the Outdoor Angus group, check out the Outdoor Angus website for other activities available in the area.
