Start/finish: Blairgowrie, Perthshire
Grade 2/3: Most days are Grade 2 with a couple of more strenuous Grade 3 days
Accommodation: Good quality and highly recommended B&B and country hotels, usually with en-suite facilities.
The Cateran Trail is a lovely trail that can be comfortably completed in 5 days.
This circular route offers walkers the chance to explore an unspoilt part of the Scottish Highlands and with a knowledgeable guide, this Scottish walking holiday can be fully enjoyed.
The route follows the old drove roads and tracks once used by the Caterans, cattle thieving warriors who roamed the lawless regions of the Highlands between the 15th and 17th centuries. The long-distance walking route makes use of many of the old drove roads and tracks once utilised by the Cateran warriors.

Day 1: Blairgowrie to Kirkmichael, 15 miles/24.5km
Day 2: Kirkmichael to Spittal of Glenshee, 8 miles/13km
Day 3: Spittal of Glenshee to Kirkton of Glenisla, 14 miles/23km
Day 4: Kirkton of Glenisla to Alyth, 11 miles/17km
Day 5: Alyth to Blairgowrie, 16 miles/26km

This is per person and includes:
- 5 nights Bed and Breakfast accommodation in quality hand- picked hotel or guesthouse, based on two people sharing a room usually with an ensuite. Single travellers are welcome and will be accommodated in a twin room (2 single beds) with a fellow traveller of the same sex. If a single room is requested at time of booking then this incurs an extra charge of £50 for the 5 nights
