Luxury Walking Weekend Break
The weekend: A deluxe guided (easier walking) and accommodation break in stunning Angus, Scotland. The luxury break includes two days of glorious walking and includes a special coastal walk.. Then, each night you will be treated to specially-chosen four-star accommodation and a well-deserved high-quality dinner. What a fantastic combination!
Length: 2 days/3 nights.
Grade 2: Walkers should be fit and prepared for some strenuous hiking.

Luxury Walking Weekend itinerary
Friday: Arrive at four-star hotel for dinner. Pick up from Dundee can be arranged. (See Getting here)
Saturday: Arbroath to Auchmithie Coastal Walk, approx 4 hours, Hike the gorgeous Angus coastline and get up close to a range of wildlife and fascinating geological landmarks on this guided walk with a difference. The route takes in a Cave Walk and the Angus Coastal Path Note: Locations may vary subject to sea conditions and tides.
Sunday: Rocks of Solitude, Glen Esk, approx 3.5 hours This tranquil river/forest walk follows good path from Edzell to the Rocks of Solitude. There is abundant wildlife to be spotted along the way –salmon jumping up the salmon ladder is a common sight. Otters may also be seen and there are many woodland birds encountered in this lovely walk. Edzell castle can be visited afterwards.
Monday: Leave after breakfast.
Prices and dates
Price: £425This is per person and includes:
- 3 nights full board in a luxury hotel in Montrose, based on two people sharing a room usually with an ensuite. Single travellers are welcome and will be accommodated in a twin room (2 single beds) with a fellow traveller of the same sex. If a single room is requested at time of booking then this incurs an extra charge of £30 for the 3 nights.
- Packed lunches and dinners.
- Guiding by a qualified walk leader.
