Winter Mountain Skills Weekend Break
The walking: Join Glentrek on a guided magical Winter Mountain Skills Weekend in the Angus Glens. The Scottish mountains are at their most magical during the winter months. Crisp days, ice and snow and blue skies transform our peaks into their brilliant best.
But the winter mountains can also be dangerous if you do not know how to stay safe while walking. This weekend is led by an experienced mountain leader who will teach you a wide range of basic winter walking skills, such as the use of crampons and ice axes, as well as many essential safety procedures. No prior experience is required although you should be reasonably fit.
Length: 2 days/2 nights
Grade 4: Walkers should be fit and prepared for some strenuous hiking.
Leader/group ratio: 1:6 (maximum; minimum four people)
